Welcome introduction
Hello!!
I am not a big fan of that time of day when the baby is tired and fussy and the kids are rummaging through the pantry for snacks and everyone keeps saying, "Mom, what's for dinner?" It is then, of course, that you realize you are out of one of the key ingredients in whatever you were going to make and now have to come up with a whole new idea. Often when trying to decide what is going to be for dinner, I look into the freezer and think, hmm, ground beef, I know people use this stuff for lots of other things than the 2 things I know how to do, but I guess it's sloppy joes again tonight. Sigh. Same old rotating menu. So to spice those nights up a bit, here is the game. Each month I will give you a topic, or rather some type of dish, and your job will be to find your favorite recipie in that catagory and email it to me. I will post the recipies I receive to this blog so that you can see all the ideas and maybe we can have something diferent next wednesday night than sloppy joes!
There are no rules to my game other than please send recipies that fit in the catagory of the month. I know you may have a killer jello recipie that has been handed down for generations that you are dying to share. That's great! I am dying to eat it, but please hold onto it until jello month. But if it is sushi month and you have no recipes for that, it doesn't mean you are not welcome to come here and get the recipes that month. Come, write them down and then you will have some! Also, if you forget one month, you don't have to send 2 next month to make up for it. Just send in recipes when you can and check the blog for new recipes when you want. easy peesy, right?
We are starting with recipes right now but I am hoping enough people will come and play that we can swap other ideas sometimes too, like birthday party games, family activities, parenting ideas, cleaning tips, or any other ideas we might want to swap!ok, so that's the game. I guess the only thing left to say is, ready, set, go!
